Ship Electronics

Due to the existence of severe navigational environment, the quality requirement of all electrical equipment on board the ship is generally higher than that on land - it is required that these equipment can withstand the humid environment, high temperature, salt water vapor and corrosive atmosphere, shaking vibration and so on. So what electric equipment does the general ship have? What are the functions of these electrical devices?

1. Alternator – This is a device that converts mechanical energy into electrical energy and is used to charge the ship’s batteries.

2. Batteries – These are used to store the electrical energy produced by the alternator and provide power for the ship’s electrical systems.

3. Circuit breakers – These are used to protect the ship’s electrical system from overloads and short circuits.

4. Main Switchboard – This is the center of the ship’s electrical system and is where all the electrical power is distributed.

5. Electric Motors – These are used to drive pumps, compressors, and other equipment that require electric motors to operate.

Whether it is for lamps or other electrical equipment, the use of these equipment has a wiring demand. Some equipment wiring is integrated into the product, such as the plug of our common electrical equipment. Some devices are reserved interfaces, which are connected only when they need to run. most of these interfaces are plug and play. There are also devices that require separate waterproof connectors for connection.

Especially in a humid environment at sea,the speed of rust and corrosion is generally much faster than on land. Anti-corrosion

UV Resistance

The connectors on shipboard need to be UV resistance to prevent damage from ultraviolet radiation. UV radiation can cause fading, cracking, and discoloration of materials, as well as damage to electronic components. UV protection also helps to reduce the risk of premature deterioration of the equipment, which is essential for vessels on extended voyages.
